Overview
An interactive risk assessment that is completely User centred. Approximately 20 minutes is spent with each User to discuss personal health risk concerns, workstation issues and job factors. Interactive advice from a professional Registered Member of the Ergonomics society is provided to alleviate any problems identified during the interview including posture correction. A generic lighting and workstation/seating and office audit is also conducted. Full documentation is provided with recommended actions both at the User level and for the organisation. Conducted on your site and at the Users workstation this is a comprehensive and complete risk assessment. This method is ideally suited for the small to medium sized company.
Key Elements
A risk assessment conducted on site at the Users workstation(s). Data is collected on the following:
- Typical tasks performed and computer related activities
- Visual, physical and psychological health status
- Compliance of equipment and furniture to British and International standards
- Lighting, thermal and noise qualities
Interactive advice is provided (as required) on the best practices for ergonomic workstation set up, viewing position and distance, adjustment of seating, advanced ergonomic posture control techniques and task variation.
The report will identify:
- Individuals at highest risk
- Actions for individual Users
- Organisational risks and prioritised actions for groups
- Compliance levels for equipment, furniture and environment
